Inter Centre Visits
On October 30, 2017, an inter centre visit under Muslim adolescent girls programme was organised at education centre of Soomli village of Punwarka block. In this programme students of Niwada, Khidka Junardar, Maheshwari Kalan, Bijopuri and Soomli education centre, their teachers, parents and Disha staff participated. A total of 130 participants from five centres took part in the programme.
On the occasion students of education centres presented songs, poems, role play, dance, jokes and speeches, etc.
All the participants were welcomed and told about objects and programmes of the organisation. He also shared that our organisation was working for the education of children and adolescent girls.
Programme coordinator Tasneem said that education was very important part of life. It was especially important for girls. She shared that since birth girl faces a lots of discriminations in respect of birth, equality, food, lack of permission to play, harassment through father, brother and husband during her life, physical abuse at work place, etc. Women were always harassed socially, economically, religiously and politically.
