Republic Day was celebrated at Training Centre and all 15 adolescent Muslim girls education centres. Disha staffers, girl students, their teachers, parents and renowned personalities of the village, including panchayat representatives, were present. Nearly 1000 people participated in the programme held at various locations.
The celebration included flag hoisting, national anthem singing, patriotic songs, short plays, etc. Disha workers told the gathering about importance of January 26. This was the day Constitution of our country was implemented. This was our national festival and celebrated every year.
Our Constitution talks about unity and integrity. It is secular – it respects each religion and motivates all castes, religions and faiths to live amicably. The Constitution has given equal rights to all. It also imparts equal rights to women and men. Therefore, we all should follow Constitution and live amicably.
