Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) Training

Two days Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) training was organised for 16 beneficiaries at Bada Rampur Training Centre in Dehradun on September 22 and 23, 2017. The training was organised by the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) Regional Centre, Dehradun.  Mr LP Bhatt and Mr Shailesh Rawat from NIESBUD imparted the training.

During the training the resource persons from NIESBUD motivated the participants to start their business. They spoke of the qualities an entrepreneur should have and asked the beneficiaries to do hard work to achieve their goal. They asked the participants to write an essay on their merit and demerits. They delivered lecture on the means of communications and how to do effective communication.

The day two proceedings included a lecture on self -employment, its need and difficulties in running business. Terms enterprise, entrepreneur and entrepreneurship were discussed at length. The participants were told that a successful entrepreneur should have good behaviour, should be calm and composed, should strict to timings, should dare, should keep eyes and ears open, should be laborious and should be a good thinker. A successful businessman should be able to take calculated risk. The participants were exhorted to know their position and calibre before starting business.

Information about various government schemes and departments from where entrepreneurs can take loan to start business was also given.
