2. About the Vacancy
Disha Social Organisation is seeking a dynamic, committed and socially conscious individual to join our team as an Associate Coordinator for our dedicated Constitutional Values Project. This project aims to nurture young social workers committed to constitutional values through dialogue, training, mentoring and community engagement. The Associate Coordinator will support the planning, implementation, coordination and documentation of fellowship activities.
3. Preferred Candidate Profile
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Sociology, Political Science, Human Rights, Gender Studies or another relevant social science discipline.
- Experience: Prior experience with non-governmental organisations, community mobilisation or development programmes will be an advantage.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, fluency in Hindi and English, and commitment to constitutional values/community development (as relevant to the project).
- Computing Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and basic AI tools.
- Other Requisites: Must own a two-wheeler, possess a valid driving licence and smartphone.
4. Job Description and Reporting
As the Associate Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in bridging institutional goals with field-level implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and assimilating the literature available within the organisation, reference publications, newspapers/magazines and online resources.
- Develop resource materials, modules and communication strategies to simplify complex constitutional values for fellows and rural communities.
- Help the fellows in engaging with local stakeholders, including community leaders, women’s groups and youth cohorts to build collaborative groups/networks.
- Assist in documenting project milestones, compiling field insights and preparing comprehensive progress reports.
Reporting Structure
The Associate Coordinator will work under the direct guidance of the Project Coordinator and report to the Director at Disha’s head office.
5. Salary and Remuneration
- Remuneration: Up to ₹30,000 per month.
- Note: The final salary package will be commensurate with the candidate’s relevant professional experience, skills and academic qualifications.
