Objectives
- Increase access and encourage enrolment to basic primary education through community mobilisation for all girl children not in school
- Provide high quality relevant education through learning centres
- Encourage and enable each girl to become an independent thinker and self-learner
- Make learning joyful
- Help transform the community
Activities
- Providing education to the girls in age group of 6 to 10 years
- Organising community management committee meetings at the village level to involve the community in the learning of the girls
- Conducting teachers’ training on quarterly basis to enhance capacity of teachers so they could deliver their duties efficiently
- Conducting girls’ assessment on quarterly basis to assess the learning progress of the girls
- Conducting teachers’ assessment on quarterly to assess the knowledge base of the teachers and to find out their weak areas in teaching.
- Organising study circles for teachers to address their weak areas according to subject
Expected Outcome
- Improved learning of 2,550 girls as per the learning outcome sheet
- All the girls have developed their personality
- The teachers have enhanced their capacity in subject knowledge and other curricular activities.

Girls of age group 6 to 14 years
Coverage
85 learning centres in two states – 42 in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand and 43 in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh
