Teachers of girl child education project were honoured at an impressive function organised in the project area. The event marked celebration of Teachers’ Day on the occasion of the birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of the country. The project staff and teachers paid glowing tributes to Dr Radhakrishnan.
The function started with the teachers singing Saraswati Vandana followed by a welcome song by the teachers. A teacher Arti gave a speech on why we celebrate Teachers’ Day and how Dr Sarvepalii Radhakrishnan contributed to the society. The project advisor gave a speech thanking and appreciating all the teachers, facilitators and staff for their hard work and dedication.
Towards the end of the function, the teachers performed a social drama named Beti Padhao Aur Beti Bachao (Teach Girl and Protect Girl). Everyone enjoyed the drama.
