A workshop on the International Girls’ Day was organised at Disha headquarters on October 20, 2022. Nearly 70 adolescent girls and social workers participated in the workshop. Disha director KN Tiwari and workers extended good wishes of the International Girls Day to the girls present.
Disha workers gave information about objectives and works of the Uttar Pradesh Coalition to Empower Girls. Thirty non-governmental organisations from different districts of the state are associated with this coalition and are conducting the campaign.
Information on laws related to girls and women, government welfare schemes for them, and Disha’s work among them was given.
