An inter-centre exposure of girls studying in education centres was organised at the education centre in Manakpur Sadat village of Sarsawa block on 26 September 2024. Over 200 adolescent girls studying at Chalakpur, Chilkana, Dumjheda and Dubhed Kala and their parents participated in the exposure trip.
The participating girls presented songs, ghazals, dance and play on the occasion. They enjoyed the programme a lot. For many girls this was a first of a kind opportunity as they had never gone out of their village and intermingled with girls of their age.
Disha director KN Tiwari motivated the girls to study further and thanked them for participating in the programme. The coordinator Shaheen Parveen gave information on the objectives of the programme and compered the programme. The senior coordinator Jahnavi Tiwari motivated the girls to study by highlighting that education was important for all the people.
Many staff members from Disha spoke on the occasion and actively participated to make the programme a success.
