Like yesteryears, Eid Milan was organised at the Training Centre on May 3, 2022, to promote social harmony and mutual brotherhood. Nearly 500 people from Sultanpur-Chilkana participated. During the event, social songs, ghazals, poems, etc., were presented. Apart from this, social play titled ‘Nasha Ek Zahar’ (intoxication a poison) was also staged. The play exhorted the youth to be away from all kinds of intoxicants.
The chief guest of the event, Akbar Qureshi, who is also chairman of Sultanpur-Chilkana Nagar Panchayat, extended good wishes of Eid to all. He said we should celebrate festivals of each other as festivals like Eid and Holi give message to the people to get associated with each other. He said the area symbolised social unity and brotherhood.
On this occasion Disha’s founder director KN Tiwari extended Eid wishes to all the people present. He said that the organisation made effort to unite the people belonging to various religions through the programmes like Eid and Holi Milan.
Ikram Qureshi, alias Lala, Liyakat Qureshi, Bal Kishan Sharma, Jahnavi Tiwari, Rehana Adib, and Shahin Parveen put forth their thoughts. The event was compered by Tasneem.
